As the moonlight slowly and misty shining, or the burning sunlight directly shoot in our eyes, can we know where we are with our eyes closed?

Because our memories of space is very close with the light, so the influence of light is so directly. In the weather project, artist only design a sunny space in the interior. Then people start to use their limited memories, making the corresponding actions, lying or sitting.

To define memory, it is something remembered from the past. It can be words or images, making us recall the vague old days. Also in the book Norwegian Woods, there is a sentence saying I try to recall what’s the last time that I see fireflies and where’s the place. But I don’ t remember the place and time, what I can remember is the vague images of light.

Therefore I am thinking that can these important but so small that it is not worth mention scenes reform the images of the city, just like seeing with our eyes closed.

To follow the idea, I want to control the program by light just like the density of the dots, so I use grayscale library to express this concept. In conventional thinking, the light in library used to be binary opposition. You need light to read, but you need to put the bookshelves away from light for a better preservation. It is just like the on and off of the power switch. For a practical example, the Exeter library designed by Louis Kahn have two layers, in the outer layer is the reading space for more lights and the inner layer is the bookshelves for better preservation. But what will it be if the light in library show as gradation? Can we just choose the best light for the book that you want to read to go to the images or memory of it? It's the concept that the space just like a light controller itself. Walking in the space of grayscale of light is like you controlling the brightness of the table lamp. With the time goes by, you need to walk for a better place for your book to go into the story of it. As you walk through it, maybe you can recall the memory of the good old days.
