Principles for studying architectural design and waiving credits: Item 1, for students who have undertaken undergraduate studies:
I. Department of architecture:
1. Second-year transfer: may waive first-year design. (Studies begin from second-year design.)
2. Third-year transfer: may waive first- and second-year design. (Studies begin from third-year design.)
II. Design-related departments: handled in accordance with item two of topic two.
Topic two: Graduated from a three- or five-year junior college or a two- or four-year technical program:
I. Architecture-related departments:
1. Second-year transfer: may waive first-year design. (Studies begin from second-year design.)
2. Third-year transfer: may waive first- and third-year design. (students must Study second-, fourth-, and fifth-year design.)
II. Other architectural design-related departments (regardless of applications for transfer to the second or third year):
1. Students who have taken architectural design or basic design may waive 6 credits or more of compulsory courses or electives in first-year design. (Studies begin from second-year design.)
2. Students who have taken 3–5 credits of architectural design or a semester of basic design may waive the first semester of first-year design in both compulsory courses and electives. (Studies begin from the second semester of first-year design.)
Topic three: Transfer from other departments within the university: all students begin studies from first-year design.
